Logitech does have a new racing wheel that does work on the Xbox One.
I was disappointed with Logitech after I bought a G27 prior to buying a PS4 and then finding out that they wouldn't play together. If you get the T3PA pedals that makes the T300RS a really nice wheel. The G29 got bashed a lot for being too similar in design to the very old G25/G27, but I hated the look and lack of buttons on the G27 and I really like the layout and look of the G29. Also I read the T300RS had a higher failure rate than Logitech due to the different mechanism while the G29 is old school but reliable. The T300RS is in the same price range and is generally considered to have a superior feel and has a more modern internal design for the wheel, but the pedals are much inferior to the G29's.
You'd be crazy to buy it at full price, buy a used one for half MSRP. It has lots of buttons which is nice, unlike the old G27. It feels nice and comes with pretty decent pedals unlike the T300RS. Would anyone have any good recommendations for that? So I've been thinking about getting wheel/pedals for something like Project Cars on the Vive. This means that right now the CSL Elite is the best steering wheel for people who only want one wheel. The PS4 chip is in the wheel base while Microsoft sells a security chip with each Fanatec wheel rim so all current Fanatec wheel bases are compatible with the Xbox One.
Your Clubsport Steering Wheel GT with Forza lettering wheel rim would work just fine on the CSL Elite wheelbase on the PS4. Only issue I had (aside from accidentally cutting a $14 cable) was that when I got in my real car, I would get speeding tickets! Yes, its amazing simulation. The new ones are CRAZY$$$$ with top servos, feedback.
I preferred it with my PS3 and GT4 but no longer use it. I have the Fanatec with Porsche GT3 wheel, pedals. The new CS Elite does let you swap Xbox- and PS4-compatible hubs, can't comment on whether it's any good as I haven't tried either. The Thrustmaster is cheaper than buying a Fanatec Clubsport setup for the Xbox One.Īnd if you play both PS4 and Xbox One racing games you have no choice, there is no longer a completely cross-platform wheel like the Fanatec was for the Xbox 360 and PS4. I’m still using my Driving Force GT that came out like 8 years ago for GT 4 or something.Įven if money is no object what about the hassle of keeping multiple wheels around for different games?ĭepends how seriously you take your racing games. Seems a terrible waste to customize such an expensive peripheral for just one game.
